Green Atlantic @ Moneypoint is ESB’s programme to transform the generating station into a green energy hub, supporting Ireland’s clean energy transition.

Projects include offshore wind enabling infrastructure, low carbon dispatchable generation, energy storage, and sustainable redevelopment. 

Key milestones include the end of using coal in 2025, with phased project rollouts through the 2030s, subject to the appropriate consents.

Yes. Stakeholder engagement is a key part of the redevelopment process, with opportunities for public input and consultation during the SEA process and throughout the development of each of the projects being proposed for the site.
